100% Handcrafted - A Review

Yesterday I participated in Robbinsville High School's 13th annual juried 100% Handcrafted arts & crafts show.  There were over 100 artisans and craftspeople there. I thought the quality and variety of offerings was very good.   The steady crowds of shoppers throughout the day confirmed that the community agreed with me.  

The fair was held in the high school's beautiful, bright and spacious location. The fair was very well organized and I had a good sized space to set up my table without bumping into the vendor next to me.   Very helpful high school students helped us with carrying our  things to and from our booth location.  The location was only 20 minutes from my home in Princeton which I really appreciated.   All the vendors were very friendly and helpful in giving me tips about other nearby artisan focused shows I might be interested in checking out. 

I was happy that several of my Jersey peeps showed up to see my booth and hang out for a while.  Besides showing the watercolors and greetings cards I have for sale, part of my set-up includes a small side table with a display of my sketchbooks and sketching materials.  I spoke to a few artists and wanna be artists about how I started with online classes at Sketchbook Skool, some of whom may now start coming to the twice-monthly Princeton Sketchers group I organized (and which is now being sponsored by the Princeton Public Library). 

And of course I was happy that I did very well selling my cards and watercolors to people who appreciated them.  I always enjoy and learn a lot from seeing which of my images people are attracted to.
